There are magical and very special nights. And Friday night on November 2, in that wonderful setting that is the church of San Lorenzo, was one of them. A space recovered for culture by the Huerta de San Antonio Foundation, one of the collaborators of the Festival, which hosted the gala of the Jerry Goldsmith Awards in its XIII edition. An edition in which they returned to Úbeda, and a city that saw them being born and that witnessed his first steps.
It was an evening to remember and to get to know. A gala in which the work of musicians in all segments of the audiovisual sector, in which music is the protagonist, was rewarded. A recognition that all these professionals deserve since, despite having a professional career, their work has not obtained the recognition they deserve. Eight categories, with a ten nominees in each of them. All of them deserved to receive the affection and applause of all attendees, mostly fans, professionals, collaborators, sponsors and candidates themselves.
The ideal closing to a year that has been, simply, spectacular with composers of 23 different nationalities: Spain, France, Chile, Italy, Brazil, United States, United Kingdom, Mexico, Germany, Holland, Bulgaria, Japan, Guatemala, Switzerland, Turkey, Poland, Denmark, United Arab Emirates, Finland, China, Canada, Cyprus, Greece, Colombia, Ireland, Norway, Australia, Lithuania and Portugal. A more than important sign that the Jerry Goldsmith awards are the most international music awards for the audiovisual medium.
An internationality that will be consolidated with the presence of the Jerry Goldsmith awards at the planned ceremony in Hollywood this coming November 14. There, in the delivery of the Hollywood Music in Media Awards, will be awarded the main recognition, their best of the best award, the Golden Jerry Goldsmith Award to one of the eight winners in the gala, and that will be given in front of an audience of hundreds of professionals in the Hollywood industry.
